Hi! Both amplifiers are the same in terms of audio specifications. The main difference between the two would be the materials that were used on the amps.

i have purchased this amp along side the s3 1124 subwoofer now since the sub can handle 500rms at either 2 or 4 ohms i dont understand what to switch it to as the power output of the amps says 320 rms at 4 ohms and 500rms at 2 ohms how do i wire it for 2

Gefragt von: Ryanry
Hi, and thank you for supporting JBL! The power handling of the woofer is independent of the impedance, so the 500 W is true no matter if you switch it to 2 Ohms or 4 Ohms. When the amplifier can handle a 2-ohm load, you may as well take advantage of the extra power it can produce into the lower impedance, and use the 2-ohm setting on the woofer. Please note that the lower impedance is a tougher load on the amplifier, so if you push your system to the limit, you may have the amplifier overheat or disconnect due to activating the protection curcuits because it is being driven too hard. If this happens, I would suggest to switch the woofer to the easier load of 4 Ohms. There is a switch on the woofer that you use to select 2 or 4 Ohms.

Is the Subwoofer channel on this amp mono?

Gefragt von: Juggernaut78
The subwoofer channel on the JBL Club 4505 amp was designed as a mono output that can handle up to 320 W rms at 4 ohms or 500 W rms at 2 ohms.

I set this amp with 4 GX602s speakers and S2-1224SS subwoofer. What do you recommend for ohm setting of the sub? the amp can handle both 2ohms and 4 ohms setting, what ohm will I switch the subwoofer? Is there any difference in sound quality?

Gefragt von: Jan D
The S2 124-ss can only handle 275W RMS on either 2 ohms or 4 ohms, The Club 4505 has a subwoofer channel of 320W for 4 ohms and 500W for 2 ohms. The Subwoofer cannot handle the 2 ohm as it's too high but it can handle the 4 ohms rating even if it's above 275W but please be sure not to crank up the volume too much as it may damage the speaker in the long run.

What's the adas input phone jack for? Can I plug an bass remote level there?

Gefragt von: ERIC2600
If you have a car that has a Driver Assist system, where it will beep at you or talk to you if you are too close to another vehicle, or whatever, and you are about to remove your stock amplifier and replace it with the Club 4505, you can connect your Driver Assist system to this amplifier so that you continue to use that feature. Bass remote level controls are not compatible to be connected to this port.

What type of 4awg amp kit would you recommend to install this product?

Gefragt von: ben_gabriel
Unfortunately we do not have our own wire kit that we can recommend but we do recommend buying a high quality wire to minimize voltage drops and maximize headroom. A good high quality power/ground cable should be made entirely of oxygen free copper and will typically be heavier than lower quality cables that may contain strands of aluminum or other metals.
